Wow something in Pattaya I bet
you did not know.
There are lots of events for children and families. Betcha
you thought that Pattaya, on the Eastern Seaboard of
Thailand, was only for grown ups and leaned heavily towards
men.
Well this is not the case, there are tourist spots and
events and shows for all the family. Lets have a look shall
we?Pattaya is a family location as well as a male tourist
haven.
Perhaps we should start with Ripley's Beleive It Or Not, as
it is located in the center of Pattaya and close to many
hotels. This place should keep kids facinated all day. It
has everything, including creepy crawlies; so go.
Try the Khao Kheow Open Zoo. This includes Nong Nooch
Gardens which has elephant shows in addition to being
beautiful. What a sight it is for the family.
A visit to The Santuary of Trutht should be on the agenda.
As well as being made almost completely out of hand-carved
wood, the santuary has much on the cultural side to
recommend it too.
But this is a family column isn't it. So we have to give
space to the elephant rides, a Thai culture show as well as
a show by dolphins.Oh by the way the building of the
Santuary of Truth started in 1981. Ill bet thats before many
in your family were born.
Also there are some great cultural attrections if that is
your lean. There are some main Buddhist attractions not so
far away. These include temples, gardens, museums and the
like-you should ask and see which ones are located close to
your hotel and if you want to visit them. But you will find
plenty.
And what about the Islands? Popular with families, both for
just a relaxing day on the beach with lunch, or a trip
around the Island, Koh (Island) Larn is just a short boat
ride from Pattaya. Koh Samet is about 90 minutes from
Pattaya by speed boat and is more famous.
What about Pattaya's infamous carabet shows? Are they family
friendly? Well they are fit even for kids. Imagine the
delight of seeing great costumes and dancing. Can't imagine?
Then don't go; you and your kids will be dissapointed.
